Welcome to King Park ~ home to American Shetland horses.

King Park has the largest collection of American Shetlands in Australia. We are currently the only Stud in Australia who is set up to breed 100% American Shetlands. We wish to express our gratitude to Bobby and Julie Wagner (SMHC), Lori Davis (Fairwind Farm), Peter and Lisa Goettl (Marystown Miniatures) and Debby Sims-Boosalis (Namaste Miniatures) for breeding such beautiful horses and allowing them to make their mark in Australia.

Fairwind Aztecs Laramie is a 33" silver bay colt that represents the grace and elegance of the American shetlands. He has garnered 5 Grand Champions in the USA with Pete Goettl on the lead.

SMHC Ringmaster is 38" tall (as officially measured by an MHAA appointed representative in June 2010). Ringmaster literally moves like a hackney pony and has the x-factor which sends chills down your spine. He is the current IMHR National Champion of Champions, Double Shot Supreme Exhibit, National Grand Champion Stallion and Liberty Champion. Standing at Public Stud at the Doug Farmer Training Centre in Queensland. Ringmaster is registered MHAA, IMHR and with the Pinto Society.

Candy Girl is a 37" black pinto American Shetland mare. She is the FIRST 100% American Shetland mare to be imported to Australia. She represents an exciting new venture for us as she will enable us to produce 100% American Shetlands. Candy is competing at the USA AMHR Nationals in September 2010 under the expert guidance of Syndi Kanzler.

King Park was established in 2001. We originally concentrated on the American AMHA registered miniature horse. Our past horses include Aloha Henrietta, Abras Signature Ariel, Arions Lady Divine, Alliance Majestic Valentine, Black Mountain Majestic Vision, Brewers Captivation Sable Lady, Brewers Captivation Prancing Doll, Scott Creek Monarchs Black Opal, Southern Charms Chantilly Lace and many others. We have recently changed direction and are now concentrating on the American Shetland small horse.

We have trained and shown many horses to National and State Titles in halter and performance over the years. Our most successful show horses were Bernaroo Park Teddys Just Magic (King), Kamelco Park Shazar Painted Wyld and Brewers Captivation Prancing Doll. Watch out for our American Shetlands at the IMHR Nationals in Tamworth 2010.
